Our Background

The Story Behind Mbandu Complex

Mbandu Complex was founded with a straightforward but powerful observation: small and medium sized businesses in Nairobi were being underserved by the commercial real estate market. Either space was too expensive in Grade A CBD spaces, too poorly maintained in older stock, or too far from the business communities and residential catchments where owners and employees actually lived.

Bomas presented the perfect opportunity. A neighbourhood synonymous with prestige, greenery, and a distinctly professional community yet historically lacking a purpose built, modern commercial office building scaled for MSMEs rather than multinationals.

So we built one. A 4-storey, 150 ft × 40 ft structure directly on Langata Road, offering 24,000 sq ft of net leasable office space across 40 to 50 units. Every design decision from unit sizing to security infrastructure to internet provision was made with one tenant profile in mind: the ambitious, growing Kenyan business.
